Open again: summer mountain railways on the Hochkönig

For a long time there were countless question marks surrounding this year’s summer season. On June 12th, however, the last of the six summer mountain railways on the Hochkönig will be running between the three communities and the summit of emotions. The extended offer promises a seamless connection to the numerous offers for hikers and bikers, families and connoisseurs. With the Hochkönig Card, which you enjoy free of charge as a Sonnhof guest, you can of course use all mountain railways free of charge in summer.

What you should consider when taking the cable car

All summer mountain railways take you up the mountain and back down to the valley from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Are open for you:

• Natrun cable car
• Schwarzeckalm chairlift
• Hochmais chairlift
• Gabühl cable car
• Bürgelalm chairlift
• Karbachalm cable car

In order to ensure the safety and health of all guests and employees, the mountain railway operators have developed a comprehensive safety concept over the past few weeks. The following applies to passengers:

• Maintain a minimum distance of one meter
• Regular, thorough hand washing
• Mouth and nose protection during the entire journey (according to the regulation for mass transport)

The mountain railways in Mühlbach am Hochkönig

Many summer mountain railways lead to Mühlbach and back. The most important means of transport in town is without question the Karbachalmbahn. The direct connection to the Schneeberg makes one of the most beautiful hiking areas in the Salzburg region even easier to reach.
