The viewing platform on the Kitzsteinhorn can be reached from the valley in less than an hour. With three cable cars, including the summit cable car, you can ascend in peace and quiet. The long way flies by thanks to fascinating views of the diversity of alpine nature. Once at the top, the Top of Salzburg reveals the panorama, which is difficult to put into words, with countless three-thousanders and glaciated mountain peaks. Below, the Zeller pool sparkles with the deep blue of Lake Zell – so close and yet so far.

Experiences in the summit world 3000

A visit to the summit world is not only associated with a wonderful panorama. Especially families with children appreciate the wide range of experiences, such as the Cinema 3000. The twelve-minute short film in Austria’s highest cinema shows spectacular footage from the magical mountain world. In the information tunnel of the National Park Gallery you will get deep insights into the world of the Hohe Tauern, the cable car technology and the high alpine national park. A visit to the summit restaurant is also a must. In July and August, the Ice Arena also offers a special tobogganing and sliding experience at lofty heights, including an adventurous glacier trail.
